About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate of IT Governance to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the IT governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and promoting efficient and effective use of IT resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Governance Framework Development:

  • Support the implementation of a strong IT governance framework that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of the policies, procedures, and guidelines lifecycle to include creation, review, revision, and communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the IT governance framework and supporting policies align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess IT-related risks, including cybersecurity, compliance, and operational risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure to IT risks.
  • Assist in regular audits and assessments to evaluate IT governance practices.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices, including GDPR, NIST, NYDFS, ISO 27001, etc.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT controls and best practices to ensure compliance.

IT Strategy and Planning:

  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, regulations, and best practices related to IT governance and proactively incorporate them into business processes.
  • Assist in the development of long-term IT roadmaps, focusing on innovation and technology-driven growth.
  • Ensure IT projects align with the business strategy and objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure IT services meet these needs.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance practices.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on IT governance performance and initiatives.
  • Conduct continuous improvement initiatives to enhance governance processes and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in the IT domain.
  • Adequate knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in IT governance tools and technologies.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team towards common goals.
  • Experience in managing projects and driving initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATION

  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CGEIT are highly desirable.
