About The Role

The Associate, Release Manager role manages the software development cycle from requirements through production. This role will coordinate with development and quality assurance teams for resource allocation and scheduling of releases. As well, is responsible for adherence to standards of testing and documentation while advancing changes through the entire SDLC process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance of environments.
  • Manage the backlog of enhancements, including scheduling into releases based on priority, developer bandwidth, and estimate.
  • Verify SDLC release guidelines are adhered to during the migration of releases through development/test/UAT/production environments.
  • Manage and facilitate production releases by scheduling required resources from all necessary teams, communication of timelines, scheduling business testers and creation of release notes.
  • Serve as escalation point for application support production issues, post release.
  • Transition of new functionality to Application Support after production releases.
  • Serve as the application/API subject matter expert.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the related field of study.
  • At least 2-3 years of release management experience or equivalent.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in writing queries and walking through stored procedures.
  • Data mapping and analysis.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
