Our client is hiring a VP, Client Development for B2B marketing technology SaaS platform, working with Fortune 1000 brand partners.  In this role, you will serve as the commercial leader with a team of account managers tasked with delivering a superior customer experience while driving retention and growth with our client’s amazing brand partners. You will work collaboratively with Sales and Customer Success to ensure accounts are set up for success from day one and on track for long-term partnerships with our client.


  • Motivate, support and lead a team of experienced Account Executives distributed across the U.S and/or Europe.
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with existing customers to increase business revenue.
  • Guide your renewals team on the retention sales process from start to finish using the ValueSelling methodology framework.
  • Regularly ensure that our client’s solutions are aligned with customer objectives and delivering business impact.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce; tracking status of account health, contacts and renewal/expansion opportunities and all client and agency communication. 
  • Oversee renewal team pipeline for regular revenue forecasting and reporting. 
  • Identify expansion opportunities, maintain 4x pipeline, and obtain growth targets.
  • Understand competitive market conditions and forecast trends.
  • Research and understand client needs, product offerings, competitive threats and most significant issues and challenges.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Product teams to communicate and help prioritize customer needs regarding features, service, support and collateral. 
  • Inform senior leadership of any key customer changes, discrepancies or issues that affect operations and ability to meet sales goals.
  • Travel required for client visits and industry conferences.
  • Proactively partner with Recruiting and HR to hire and continually develop your team.


  • 5+ years of SasS sales management experience + previous experience in an IC revenue-carrying role in a SaaS startup environment
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience working with Consumer brands and Marketing, Digital Commerce, and IT contact personas 
  • Experience managing a sizable, global team
  • Proven track record of operating a early renewal process with 85%+ customer retention & attaining a growth goal
  • Experience negotiating and closing complex renewals that require engaging multiple stakeholders at once
  • Excellent interpersonal, public presentation, written and communication skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce as a single-source of truth 
  • Proven track record of continually developing a team of direct reports
  • Experience working in a performance driven and fast-paced environment
  • Executive presence and organizational skills 
  • Team-oriented, strong customer focus and ability to multitask
  • Approaches position with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Eager to contribute to a rapidly growing start-up environment
