The company’s middle-market direct lending platform, is a leading agent, direct lender, and originator of senior secured loans for large U.S. middle-market companies. It primarily provides financing solutions to private equity-sponsored companies in a wide variety of industries.

About the Role:

As an Associate, you will perform a multitude of functions including investor reporting, portfolio data requests, and business reporting for investors and senior-level management.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

  • Utilize and maintain existing SAP Business Objects reports, with the ability to write new reports and adapt to successor systems as required
  • Complete investor requests and other reporting projects as needed
  • Work with large relational databases and generate insightful reports
  • Collaborate with the front office and supporting groups within the firm, and interact with external advisors and investors
  • Produce track records and other performance attributes reports for our client’s direct lending portfolio and funds
  • Analyze P&L drivers and contribute to fund performance management
  • Perform ad-hoc projects including technology initiatives and system enhancements

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Coursework in finance, accounting, economics and/or technology is preferred
  • CFA/CPA/CAIA (or progress towards obtaining) is a plus
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience at a private equity fund, hedge fund, or other financial services/asset management firm
  • Experience with or knowledge of middle market direct lending including loan products and leverage facilities
  • Knowledge of financial performance measures and statistics required
  • Demonstrable experience with Anaplan, Power BI, SAP Business Objects, or equivalent platforms is a plus
  • Basic understanding of funds and fund structures, financial statements, and accounting
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Expert-level proficiency with Excel
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; strong quality control
  • Strong work ethic and integrity, a team player who is highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic environment
